Ash Wednesday ServicePosted: February 12, 2013
We have an Ash Wednesday service tomorrow night at 7 in the chapel. It’s got a little bit of everything: traditional liturgy, contemporary worship, silent meditation, and extended prayer. So it should be fun.
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. Lent is a time of corporate confession and repentance as we get our selves ready for the good news of Easter.
Why do Ashes? Ashes are a sign. They represent mortality and sin, remorse and repentance, and most importantly the cross of Jesus Christ.
So join us at 7 PM tomorrow; we’d love to have you at our service.
