Best Book

A few weeks ago, Brad Wright recommended a book.  It’s called Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Human Strength.  This is the best book I’ve read in years.

The basic premise of the work (backed by social scientific research) is this: willpower is like a muscle.  When it gets tired it doesn’t work as well but it can be strengthened through intentional effort.

Now you may be thinking:  no kidding, I already knew that. OK.

But did you know the following:  Making decisions (any decisions) depletes willpower. The people with the strongest wills rarely exert it to avoid temptations. My mom could beat up your mom (I just wanted to see if you were still reading).

I highly recommend this book.  Nice find Brad!
