Questions for Contemplation Courage: An Unconventional War

Joshua 5:13-6:27

Unconventional Tactic #1:  Marching Around Jericho/Devotion to Prayer

  • What’s been your Jericho?  Can you think of a time in your past where you devoted something to God in prayer and then saw a miraculous outcome?  A time you saw “walls fall” after prayer?
  • What’s your Jericho now?  What are you supposed to devote to God in prayer right now?  What are you supposed to draw a circle around in your life at this time?
  • Have you ever prayer walked before?  Have you ever prayer walked around a place like your home?  Your classroom?  Your___________?
  • Write your Jericho down in your journal.

Unconventional Tactic #2:  Destruction of Jericho/Devoted to Destruction

  • What’s been your Jericho?  Can you think of a job or an employee that you had to give up on to move on?  Can you think of a relationship in your past that had to (and did) come to a necessary end?
  • What’s your Jericho now?  What is God asking you to walk away from?  Who is God asking you to walk away from?
  • Write your Jericho down in your journal.
